Goodbye to Transaction Fees

We’re pleased to announce that from 1st March 2018 we are removing transaction fees from everyday banking.

ATM Fee Changes

As an initial response to the removal of ATM withdrawal fees by some Australian ATM providers, effective 1 November 2017 we’re amending the ATM withdrawal fees deducted from our customers transaction allowance.

Direct Debits from Credit Cards

Direct mail will be sent on Monday 21 August to advise customers to update their payments with 3rd parties to debit their credit card number instead of our BSB and account number.

Update to Statements

We have two key communication pieces relating to statements for when we transition to our new system.

Missing Contact Details

To ensure customers are able to log in to Online Banking in the new system, we will be sending them a letter requesting that they get in touch to update their contact details.

New account numbers for a small group of customers

As a part of our system preparation we have identified a small group of customers who will need to have one of their account numbers replaced with a new one before we move to our new core banking system.

Moving to Monthly Repayments

To assist with the smooth migration of loan accounts in October we have now changed all customers on a weekly or fortnightly repayment to monthly in the DA system - with a repayment due date of the last day of the month.

Qudos Bank Card Migration

When we re-branded to Qudos Bank, we had a requirement to transition all old QCU cards to Qudos Bank cards by 2018. To achieve this requirement, from mid July any Member with an existing Qantas Credit Union branded card will be issued with a replacement Qudos Bank branded card.

Annual Report Changes

Customers who currently receive a printed copy of the Annual Report have been encouraged to view the Report via our website from October onwards. For Members who wish to receive a copy via post or email, you will need to action this in Prosper.

Loans with nil, nominal or small balances

Under the Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice, we have made a commitment to act as a responsible lender and comply with responsible lending laws and regulatory guidelines. As a prudent lender, this includes assessing a borrower’s continuing ability to repay a loan without hardship and that the purpose of a loan is appropriate when considering whether to allow a redraw facility to continue where the amount borrowed has been repaid, or there is a small balance remaining.

Unused Member Cheque Books

To assist with our transition to the new core banking system later this year, we will be contacting Members who have not used their Qudos Bank cheque book in the last 18 months so we can remove this facility from their account.

Our New Mobile Banking App – Coming Soon

We’re pleased to be offering our customers a new and improved Mobile Banking app with some of the new functionality and benefits.

Online PIN Changes

We’re implementing new card management functionality within Online Banking to change their PIN and manage their credit and debit cards online, anytime and anywhere.

Online Booking System

We have launched a new Online Booking System which allows customers to book an appointment directly with one of our Lending Specialists.
