A telegraphic/ international transfer (also known as a 'wire') is a secure electronic transfer of funds directly into an overseas bank account.

What details do I need to send a Telegraphic Transfer? |
To send a Telegraphic Transfer provide to your local branch the full details of the beneficiary's bank address and bank account, including their IBAN (International Bank Account Number) if they are in Europe. You will also need the beneficiary's full street address. If you can't make it into a branch or wish to transfer out of business hours, you can also send a telegraphic transfer within your secure online banking session via your computer or laptop. Register for this option via your branch and then simply log into your account, go to the Transfer tab and select 'International Transfer'. The country specific information and ‘help text’ will guide you through your transfer from start to finish. Please note, the amount you are currently able to transfer via Online Banking is AUD $5000. |
